This course is designed to provide an understanding of the port system and the introduction to the components that are involved in operations in the port. It gives a full understanding about the interaction of the system with ‘inland’ components and their adjacent market. Priority will be given to the ability to change of port system in line with the dynamics of international trade.

This course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of financial management principles that are used by financial managers in business decision making. Topics covered include the introduction to financial management, ratio analysis, financial planning, time value of money, asset valuation, and risk and return. In addition, this course also introduces students to project appraisal, capital structure, and cost of capital, dividend policy and working capital management.
