Kursus ini mendedahkan pelajar kepada konsep personaliti Ulul Albab, ciri-ciri yang mendasarinya serta proses pembinaan merangkumi elemen Qur’anik, Ensiklopedik, dan Ijtihadik. Pelajar dikehendaki menghafal ayat-ayat al-Quran secara bertajwid dan lancar. Selain itu, pelajar disedahkan bagaimana untuk memahami ilmu al-Quran sebenar dan ruang untuk meningkatkan keyakinan melalui pengalaman tokoh-tokoh llmuan Islam terdahulu yang boleh dimanfaatkan pengalaman dan nilai-nilai Islam yang dilalui dalam kehidupan.
This course discusses the basic concepts of biosphere, individual, species, population, community, ecosystem functioning and its ecological structure. The emphasis will be given to components of ecology comprising the abiotic and biotic factors governing plant and animal growth, limiting factors in the environment, energy and biogeochemical cycles, population growth and life strategies. Ecological succession, environmental pollution, conservation and management issues related to these ecosystems are also will be highlighted.
This course introduces the concept of ecology which is a study of interrelationship of organisms and their environment or habitats.
This ecology of individuals deals with physiological and behavioural processes over a period of time. For an example; how do salt-water crocodiles regulate the water balance? Or how do Proboscis monkey deals with fibrous diet of leaves from mangrove trees.
This course will introduce the biology of sea turtles, threats to their survival, issues and challenges in conserving sea turtles, as well as to introduce the National legislation and International conventions in protecting sea turtles. Apart from that,
this course will also introduce the ongoing sea turtle research, conservation and outreach program conducted by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu at Redang Island, Terengganu, Malaysia.
This course will provide an introduction of seed production techniqes in aquaculture. It aims the students to understand the breeeding techniques of commercially important aquaculture species, know the methods to improve the seed production and maintaining seed quality as well as understand the endocrinological and physiological processes invloved in the seed production of aquaculture species. The main topics include the development of seed production techniques worldwide and in Malaysia, the importance of adequate supply of seed for aquaculturist. It also discusses the sexual organs, reproductive behaviour and physiology of fish, and various factors affecting reproductive performances, broodfish management as well as natural and artificial breeding techniques.
This course introduces basic concepts of software engineering including software process model, requirement engineering, design and testing. It also introduces product metrics in software.
This course give exposures on the importance of Sustainable Development (SD), awareness on the issues, challenges and implications of SD over the environmental carrying capacity. It also introduces implications of SD on sustaining
human life on the planet, importance of Sustainable Development approach in the aspects of policy, economy, technology and environment, and various main issues in sustainable development and its implications on
the environmental availability with human’s living dynamic will be shared also critically analyzed.
This course is designed to provide an understanding of the port system and the introduction to the components that are involved in operations in the port. It gives a full understanding about the interaction of the system with ‘inland’ components and their adjacent market. Priority will be given to the ability to change of port system in line with the dynamics of international trade.
The course will introduce the basic concepts of current wildlife management. Ecological factors of wildlife habitat, in addition to factors which relate to the animal itself such as animal behavior, ecological role and others will also be discussed. In addition, wildlife management practice in Malaysia which include ex-situ and in-situ management, related law and policies will be explained in this course.
